Leadership beyond the title

Leadership is not only a title or a position at the front of a room. It is also the environment we create for other people: whether they can contribute, whether their voice is heard, and whether they can access opportunities to grow.

Mentorship has been important in Refilwe’s development. Support that guides and challenges us can shape how we make space for others in turn.

Inclusive leadership asks us to notice who has not been heard, to share opportunities and to measure impact not only by what we accomplish, but also by who is able to grow alongside us.
